1967 Chevrolet Corvette CONVERTIBLE Number Matching 327 4 spd RESTORED Redlines
Description
This is a lightly restored 1967 Corvette Convertible 327ci/350hp 4 Speed with only 34,000 miles. It is a NUMBERS MATCHING motor, transmission and rear end. The current owner has had this car for 11 years since 2005 and has done some minor restoration and mechanical updating. In 2006 the car was disassembled, stripped, prepped and repainted in Rally Red. The car was then reassembled with careful attention to detail. The original numbers matching 350ci/300hp engine was freshened up including 350hp Corvette cam, hydraulic lifters, new rods, rockers and springs. The heads were redone at this time as the valves needed some attention but the rest of the block was in great shape. It was also cleaned and repainted correct Chevy Orange and upgraded aluminum valve covers were added. The original valve covers are included with the car. The exhaust was upgraded to an off road chambered set up which provides a true muscle car rumble. We have carefully documented all the work with every receipt and notes from the rebuild as well as everything dating back to 2005. The original 4 speed transmission is in great shape and shifts smooth. The cooling system has been upgraded with the addition of an aluminum radiator. This is a well sorted car with no issues or surprises. It runs a consistent 180 degrees with over 500 miles since the rebuild. All of the body gaps are very nice and even, the bird cage and frame are original and solid. The original bumpers are beautiful. The true knock off wheels (hammer included) with Michelin red line tires were added after the car was painted. The original spare tire is in the spare tire carrier and still holds air. The convertible top is in great shape with no cracks or rips. The interior sports the original dashboard and steering wheel as well as the seats in standard Black vinyl. All of the gauges and accessories work as designed including the windows, wipers and headlights. The carpet, door panels, visors and other trim pieces are in wonderful original condition but are not brand new. This car runs and drives flawlessly. It drives straight with no pulling and stops on a dime. As you can see from the pictures, this car is a show stopper for the casual observer up to and including the seasoned collector. This car was restored to be a long term part of a small collection but life has a way of changing ones priorities. In the last 11 years, this car has never seen rain and has been stored in a climate controlled facility. I have over 100 additional hi resolution pictures available by email showing every area of the car.
