1959 Chevrolet Nomad, orignally a 348 PG, now has a 70's era 350 and TH350 trans. The car has been garaged and out of service for about 6 years, prior to that, the owner used it as his sunday driver. It was brought to our shop this week to get it running. We found some wiring issues that prevented the car from cranking, we went ahead and cranked the starter manually and it would not get fuel, we checked the fuel pump and there was neither suction nor pressure coming from the pump. We went ahead and bottle fed it and it lit and ran perfectly smooth. Before it can be road ready, the wiring and the fuel system will need to be addressed. This is a rare nomad model which had the top of the line trim level for 1959. The car does have signs of rust as well as previous repairs. The frame is solid, the floors are not completely gone but during a visual inspection, it was obvious there was some floor repairs done from the inside of the car. The trim and glass is in very good original condition. The rear window is power and is currently in-op, we have not diagnosed the cause. An SSBC disc brake kit was installed within the last 10 years. The two short tail fin chrome has been misplaced but the owner is actively trying to locate, if we can not locate the originals, we will find replacements or discount the car $200 so that they can be purchased. We have priced the car to sell, its affordable enough to invest some money into the repairs and have a decent, hard to find 1959 Nomad Any questions email Patinaplantation@Gmail.com or call 216-789-1647. I do have more pictures I can text.
