Description

It only gets better the digger you deep into this 1946 Chevrolet pickup. Beyond the electric orange exterior is a performance-built 350 V8 and a custom A/C interior. So this classic truck is powerful and comfortable enough to be your daily driver, that is, if you don't mind all the attention it draws. This is the pickup truck that got American moving again after WWII. In fact, Chevy even acknowledged these more as a continuation of the Pre-War 1942 model year from a design and engineering standpoint after the break in production. Of course what you see here is far from an old style original. It takes this American hero, and transforms it into a very enjoyable American hot rod. While the paint is a big hit here in Tennessee, you don't have to be a Vols fan to appreciate this shade of orange. That's because the modern glow and shine instantly give off the impression of a superior quality build. To go with the orange luster is mirror-like chrome on the very cool wraparound and waterfall grille. There's also great brightwork on the bumpers, hood side vents, side step place, and even the tie-down loops for the bed. And speaking of back there, take notice how nicely the stained wood gives this orange pickup some quiet distinction. But not all the details are so subtle; those 15-inch Pacer wheels are bold enough to draw as much attention as the paint.Inside the custom work continues with a bench seat finished with modern bolstering and tan leather. So it offers far more comfort than anything that came out of the '40s. You're upgraded feeling continues with the tall shifter for your right hand, and the three-spoke wood steering wheel for your left. Beyond that are a full set of SW gauges set on a wood panel that matches the steering wheel and the lumber in the trunk bed for a very cool custom touch. As you gaze over the color-matched dashboard, you'll even spot controls for the Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with auxiliary input for the most music players. But for the feature you're going to love the most, you have to open the glovebox. That's where the controls are hidden for the air conditioning that's running modern R134a for easy servicing. You're going to need sunglasses just to stare directly at the 350 cubic-inch V8. The valve covers, intake, air grabber, brackets, and so much more have been finished off with polished components. So you know they're going to love this one at the car shows. But beneath the flash is also some serious substance. This V8 has performance components like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performance intake, and long tube headers (they're painted black and run down the fenders to really help highlight the polished components of this small block.) Sure, it makes a terrific rumble out of the dual exhaust, but this Chevy is actually a thoughtful brute. For example, there's also an aluminum radiator with electric fan, so you're pickup can stay cool even if you have the A/C running in traffic. Plus, there are great driving features like the TH350 automatic transmission, front disc brakes, and an upgraded Mustang II-style independent front suspension. There has been a lot of thought and investment in this extremely well-built custom. If you had the time and a pile of money, you would build it this way, too. So instead if you're quick enough to snatch this deal, you get to take the shortcut AND pay a whole lot less. Call today!!!
