Description

1979 K5 Blazer Cheyenne

4x4 with 6 inch Lift - NO RESERVE

Relisting as the truck did not sell.

The truck runs strong, drives well, the air conditioning is not functioning, but comes with all the parts needed to make it work. Compressor is not installed, but brand new one with brackets, lines, etc comes with the truck.

This 350 V8 starts right up and flies down the road. The TURBO 350 transmission works flawlessly. The 4 wheel drive works with no issues. There is a 6 inch suspension lift on the truck with 35 inch Buckshot Tires. Tires have plenty of tread/life left in them.

I’ve driven the truck from Florida to Texas with no issues. I’ve put about 200 miles on it driving it around town to keep the battery charged and to move a few things around. I would feel comfortable driving this truck anywhere.

Previous owner used as daily driver in Florida.

The wonderful thing about these trucks is you can purchase new interior / exterior parts for these trucks for very little money. Patch sheet metal pieces are readily available for very inexpensive prices.I had planned to replace the interior and freshen up the truck, but since my son is no longer interested, my loss is your gain.

The Truck does have rust, mostly in the usual places. The rocker panels are bad, they look to me like they had been redone in the past and were not sealed properly, so now they need to be redone. There is also rust on the hood, enough that I would plan to replace rather than repair. At some time there was a leak around the tailgate and a small bed area needs to be patched. As well as lower fender spots, etc.

The truck would be great for hunting lease, or for someone looking to restore. As stated above body mounts and the floors with exception of the one spot listed and where the rocker repair had been done previously are solid.

Keep in mind you are bidding on a 35+ year old unrestored truck. There are no warranties, and I can only provide you my own perceptions of the vehicle’s condition. No guaranty is provided and the truck is being sold AS IS WHERE IS.

I will work with the buyer to assist with transportation of the vehicle.

I've had several people ask for pictures of the engine. I added a couple. The only note is I replaced the missing PCV valve that is not in the picture I had available.
