Description

Stk. 1896 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS This four-owner, 6,244 mile true SS has been meticulously documented with its original window sticker, build sheet and data tag. This well optioned example features Power steering, Power brakes, Special Suspension, Deluxe front and rear seat belts along with simulated wire-wheels and Rear fender skirts. The path to restoration began in 2005 with a complete sweep of its interior. Isaacs Auto Upholstery was chosen to renew all vinyl surfaces including the headliner, visors, door panels, seat covers and carpeting. All rubber trim and gaskets throughout were also replaced, and the original AM radio was repaired and reinstalled along with the addition of an FM converter. The SS interior with its standard floor mount console has always been cherished for its style and flair and this one is exceptional with its sumptuous appointments, crystal clear gauges, stunning die-cast trim and over all presentation. In 2013 Darryl's Speed & Custom expertly stripped, smoothed and re-sprayed this SS with Nason Ful-Base base-coat clear coat to a show-quality finish. One very interesting and noteworthy aspect of the exterior, aside from the stellar paint is that all the usual front and rear aluminum trim, including the N.O.S. grille was re-plated in chrome by none other than Advanced Plating in Tennessee; to further compliment the rest of its flawless chrome. Needless to say, the overall effect is stunning. Under the hood resides a correct 3903352, L30 327 engine, that was fully rebuilt and balanced with a plethora of high performance parts to numerous to list. 275 ponies make their way to its optional M40, three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic transmission and stock GA 3.07:1 rear end. The undercarriage has also received a high level of attention not to be outdone by its voluptuous outer shell. The current owner as a finishing touch replaced the original steel wheels, wire-wheel hub-caps and fender skirts in lieu of fifteen inch Rally wheels with 225/70/15 tires, for a much more aggressive look and stance; but will include them with the purchase of this attractive and unique collector quality automobile.
