This 1941 Rare Chevy pick up truck came from the far northwest corner of minnesota. The owner has owned this truck for over 30 years. Last year, he started to turn it into a daily driver after having it stored indoors since 1988. He replaced the 216 engine with a good 235 6 cyl. He reupholstered the seat so it is like new. He converted it to a 12 volt system and bypassed the original wire harness with the intention of converting all of the lights to 12 volt (original wire harness is all there and intact). thats as far as he got and then he had a stroke. I had purchased a rare 1970 monte carlo from him earlier in the year and we saw this originally in his garage. it ran like a dream and I asked at that time to see if I could buy it. He said no but when he had his stroke he realized he could not finish it and called me up to buy it. When I brought it back to my shop using a auxillary fuel tank, the truck fired up on the first try. It purrred like a kitten. It had a complete new tune up done to it with points plugs condensor etc just before I bought it. It needed brakes so I installed a new master cylinder and two new rear brake wheel cylinders and brake lines to the rear and the truck stops the way it should. This truck is truly a survivor in that it is all original steel with no bondo I can detect. The floors are solid. the doors and door bottoms are solid. the cab corners are solid. I elected to leave the dings in the fenders etc for patina and in my opinion, this truck would look awesome if someone put a decal of their shop/store etc logo on the doors and clear coated the truck to keep the amazing look. This truck has the rare Artillary wheels in all four tires and are in great shape. The truck has a new exahust system installed and as the video shows, the truck drives 50 mph with no play in my opinion and shifted all four gears and reverse the way it should. It did not overheat. The glass is intact but does have cracks, easy replacment lmc truck $35. The windows need lubing to go up and down easier, the windshield crank is intact but should be lubed up to operate. There is a sheet of plywood in the box. As the video shows, the doors shut with no sag. The fuel tank is there and should be cleaned out before using, I am running it off a aux tank now. This comes with a clear and clean modern title ready for you to register matching the vin plate . The front plate and plate toppers, and dash magnets do not go with the sale as they are part of my personal collection, the rear minnesota original plate stays with the truck. As you can see this truck is a blast to drive and with very little tinkering would make a great daily driver.I have set my reserve below the market value to ensure a sale, only bid if you are serious about buying it. As everyone has their own opinion of what a classic 75 year old truck should be, I encourage you to hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you or come by appointment yourself to check it out. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it, let the video pics and description tell the story. I require a 500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions call 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182.
