This is Daisy, my 1952 Chevy Fleetline Deluxe 2dr Fastback. The rare “Aerosedan” (also known as the fastback or turtleback) has always been one of the most sought after models for the Chevy Bomb enthusiasts and Daisy will not disappoint. The “Deluxe” was the top of the line option for the Fleetline with a more lavish trim package and additional interior and exterior accessories. Although the restoration on Daisy was done close to 15 years ago, she still looks, runs and drives like an absolutely gem as you can see. I took these pictures just before writing this listing so what you see is what you are buying.
Daisy’s original "Blue-Flame" 216cid engine starts and purrs with a simple tap of the starter and has just received a fresh tune-up as well as new oil and filter. Additionally, a brand new fuel system has recently been installed front to back which includes a new fuel pump, all new steel fuel lines, a new fuel tank, sending unit and new fuel filter. The carb was also removed and rebuilt at the same time. She purrs like a kitten and is free of any noises or smoking although there is a slight oil drip from the rear main seal. Nothing major but worth mentioning.
Daisy drives with ease and her 3 speed transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly throughout the gears. The car is currently static dropped with 4" lowering springs up front and 3" lowering blocks in the rear. I had planned of doing a full air-bag conversion on the Fleetline however I decided that lowering the car in a way that is completely reversible was the better option (if one were inclined to return it to her factory ride height). Note, no modification to the suspension or wheel wells were made during the lowering process.
I've just installed four new 225/30R22 tires that have less than 200 miles. The new tires are mounted on a set of 22" aluminum Centerline “Smoothies” wheels that have been custom painted with a matte finish olive green and uses the original 1952 hubcaps (note, the original painted steel wheels and "wide white" bias-ply tires are included with sale).
All of Daisy's lights work including the headlights, yellow driving lights, brake and parking lights, license plate and interior lights, even the dash lights work. All of the dash gauges work including the fuel and temperature gauge, the oil pressure and voltage gauge with the exception of the center mounted dash clock which is currently inoperative. The factory speedometer is currently disconnected due to it making noise although the gauge still works fine. I'm sure it's just the speedometer cable needing to be replaced but I never replaced it so I wanted to mention this.
Daisy's chrome is bright and shiny as is the paint. The original glass remains in the car and is clean and clear with only minor yellowing in the very corners. All the windows roll up and down smoothly and the interior has been refurbished including the headliner, door panels, both front and rear seats and carpets have been replaced. Additionally, if you look carefully you will notice that Daisy has custom hand painted wood-grain inserts on the dash and well as all the interior trim around the glass, it's very sharp.
This rare Fleetline Deluxe Aerosedan is a super nice car that seems to draw a crowd every time she is driven, regardless if you're at a gas station or a car show. This is NOT the car to drive if you don’t like attention; Daisy seems to be a magnet for the thumbs up gesture! Please look at the photos, what you see is what you are buying and the car is being sold “as is” and “where is” with no warranties expressed or implied. Daisy is over sixty four (64) years old and although loved and pampered, she has her fair share of nicks, chips, rubs and blemishes. This is not a trailer queen but rather a nice driver for you and your family to enjoy. I HIGHLY encourage you to view Daisy for yourself; I have done my best to describe the car to the best of my ability but ultimately you are responsibly to do your own homework so please message me to set something up. I have a clean and clear title in my name that is ready to transfer to the her new owner.
I'm really not looking for trades but not completely closed off to the idea either. I would only be interested in 1965-1973 muscle cars, early to mid 50’s pick-up trucks, rat-rods or vintage hot-rods. No boats, no bikes, no RV’s. Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me with any questions or if your needing additional photos or video’s as I have several available if needed. My direct email is: ModFatherCustoms@yahoo.com
