Description

This is a '71 Chevy Cheyenne short bed, fleetside pickup with 402 big block and air conditioning that has been frame-on restored.
Exterior:Newer paint with no rust. Never had any. No rust in doors, cab corners or rockers like most of these trucks have. Never been rusty or repaired anywhere that I can see. The paint is 9+ out of 10. Very shiny, shows well with a very few tiny chips here and there. None noticeable. New bumpers and grill. Window glass is all good. Windshield is new. The paint is medium blue. The inside of the bed looks as good as the outside with walnut color wood floor.
Interior:Very strong interior. Parchment color interior with bucket seats and console. Console has aftermarket billet cup holders. Paint inside is 9+ out of 10 as well. Aftermarket radio with single speaker as original. New carpet and floor mats. New gauge bezel. All gauges and tachometer work. New, smaller aftermarket steering wheel, really makes driving more enjoyable especially for larger folks. New three point seat belts are a huge improvement over stock belts.
Mechanical:The engine is a 402 big block V8 that runs perfect with no smoke. Has fresh tune-up. Rebuilt Quadrajet carburetor with divorced choke that works as it should. Electronic ignition distributor. Has Flowmaster dual exhaust that exits under the rear. No major oil leaks. Sounds very good and has that big block rumble.
The transmission is a turbohydramatic 400 that works great with no issues. Shifts perfectly. Rear axle is a 12 bolt and operates with no noises or issues at all.Tires are Uniroyal radials on 15" rally wheels. Trim rings and center caps look good.
Truck hasn't been lowered. Stance is great. Parking brake works well.
This is a top of the line short bed Chevy that is ready to enjoy now. It has ALWAYS been a short bed. This is NOT a shortened long bed. This truck is very capable of winning and placing in most any local show in the country. I believe everything works on it except the windshield washers. I believe this truck has always been a big block as well. It has the correct numbers and codes on the block as well as the shields that are exclusive to the 402 big block. Someone replaced the bench seat with the buckets and console at some point, Also, the rear end was changed from coil spring to leaf spring…this was popular on trucks that could haul or pull something and this truck with a big block would have certainly been able to do that. The interior is the best that I have ever seen in one of these trucks, period. Almost perfect. Good cold air conditioning. Everything works. This truck is the real deal.
