This 1953 Chevrolet 5 window pick up was purchased as a survivor. It is all original as the day it rolled off the line. It had been refinished probably 30 some years ago and the paint was in very good condition. After refinishing a rear wheel flair we decided to have the entire truck refinished. The truck was professionally refinished it has won many awards at car shows. Interior has been refurbished as new. All parts replaced where OEM. Here is a list of the majority of the parts replaced. Rear Brakes, Generator, Oak bed with stainless steel inserts and bolts, Front and rear bumpers and grill replaced for chrome, Tail Gate, Front Box Panel, All new door seals and window runs, New door trim and hardware. The only item that is not original is an F250 trailer hitch was modified to fit. This vehicle was refinished a large Ford dealership body shop and it shows. Very straight and shiny. Custom paint pinstripe equivalent to what might have been done at the factory. Runs 65MPH down the highway very well. Very reliable has always started and ran good. Does have a minor oil leak at the rear main from the factory rope rear main seal that was used at the time of manufacturer. From what I understand they all did from new.
