NO RESERVE
1973 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO LANDAU
Factory AC Car
Original 350, Rear Endand Turbo 400 Transmission. All but 2 trim pieces (inside and out)are present and in decent shape or solid enough to be revived. One of which is aplastic piece for the passenger side front bumper and the other is the top part of thepassenger side interior window frame. Both inexpensive and easy to find. Vehicle specific Chilton & other resources come with the vehicle for your convenience.
This vehicle was recently a Father & Son driver project. It has been outfitted with an aftermarket carburetor (Edelbrok)and exhaust system (unknown glass pack)that have both been installed adequately. The interior panels, dash, gauges etc. are all in fairly pristine condition which make for an enjoyable ride.
The paint is from a repaint from 10-20 years ago. It is not the original GM green that it came from the factory. The seats are in fairly decent shape but could either be patched in some places or reupholstered with NOS material. It would be a great project for a beginner to cut their teeth on.
It has 34k on the Odometer and was represented to me as 134k. It drives VERY well, I drove it over 100 miles right after purchasing it. Theengine doesneed new lifters and camshaft plus either an alternator rebuild or replacement (irregular charging of the new battery). I had it checked out by my mechanic (licensed and bonded in WA) who specializes in 1960s-70s GM and his bill was$1000 for parts and labor. He is middle of the road in price with a high quality of work.
This vehicle has a superb suspension. It does not squeak when you hit bumps or when the body shifts. It turns on a dime and handles aggressively. It is less than $3,000 away (including a nicedriver qualitypaint at that price)from being either a super sweet hot rod or driver perhaps both if you're committed.
These cars are picking up value and this one is very straight with no real rust. Idon't think it'sbeen in a significant collision.Drive this car the day you buy it and never register it again if you live in Washington state!
