I've decided to sell my 1972 C10 Suburban factory 3-door. Hate to see it go, but I have a wedding to pay for.
I shipped the truck to MN early this year from South Carolina and have spent a ridiculous amount of time making it what it is now. It has never seen winters here. The truck was a daily driver from the guy I got it from and runs really well. The 350ci V8 is strong and doesn't leak anything. Fires up right away and is a pretty quiet runner. I was told it was gone through and refreshed roughly 10 years ago. The Edelbrock intake manifold and how it runs leads me to believe this to be true. The transmission was also done at the same time. I just redid the pan gasket and speedo o-ring as they were starting to drip. Currently the front gasket on the trans is seeping a bit but is a fairly easy fix. The paint was done in the early 2000's and shows a little bit of wear but not bad at all. Some rust bubbles is certain spots and the famous drip rail rot is starting to show. Overall it looks pretty good as you can see.
The suspension is a 4/6 static drop from Classic Industries. Springs, shocks, adjustable panhard bar, and spindles up front. This kit was not cheap but was well worth it. It rides really nice. The wheels are US Mag Hustlers 22x9 in front and 22x11 in the rear. The setup has less than 500 miles on it. Rear wheels have 1/4 inch spacers behind them to clear the inner wheel well. It's tight but they fit. I wanted the biggest setup without cutting up the truck. Also a fresh fuel cell replaced the factory gas tank. The front bumper brackets are incorrect on the passenger side. The bumper sits about an inch further in on one side, but can be fixed with a $60 bracket. Nothing major, just want to be as upfront as possible. I have to big mirrors the truck had stock, along with the factory style wheels and tires.
The interior: front door panels, window cranks, door handles, steering wheel, carpet, Dynomat, front door sills, gauges, Bluetooth stereo, speakers, ignition switch, from arm rests etc.... are all new and work great! The heat works, but the fan doesn't blow super hard. I never planned on cold weather driving it and didn't care. The truck is a factory ac truck, and also has the factory optioned rear ac unit. I've never messed with it, but it's all there and hooked up. The rear unit fan does turn on, but I'm sure needs servicing to work right. The seats need to be done, the headliner, and the rear side panel trim and the interior would be done. The spendy stupid time consuming things have been done right and not all hacked together.
The truck pretty much speaks for itself. It's a bad ass looking truck that you hardly ever see. Everyone walks up to chat about it or take a pic of it. It sounds great, the body looks good, it's stances out beautifully (changed coils 3 times before I was happy with it), the interior is absolutely usable the way it is, it's complete, runs 70mph down the freeway and not all rusted and beat up.
