1989 CAMARO ROAD WARRIOR OPEN ROAD RACER--LICENCED FOR STREET (NOT ALL STATES)
This car was built to compete in open road events ( silver state classic) etc. It is capable of cruising at 160 - 170 MPH. The chassis has extensive mods done to stiffen the sheet metal. The rear end suspension uses long trailing arms with a torque arm, and coil springs with Koni shocks. Front suspension has adjusters installed in the front coil springs to make adjustments to the chassis easy. Front end also uses Koni shocks and has a 1 3/8 sway bar. Brakes on the rear are Wilwood, brakes in the front use 14 in rotors on aluminium hubs with corvette calipers. Rear end is 9 in ford with full floating axles, speedway Eng. hubs, mark Williams alloy third member with 3.25 gears and torque sensing carrier. Trans is Richmond 6 Sp with aluminum drive shaft. Engine is 358 cu in SBC with 3 1/2 gallon dry sump, Intake is John Lingerfelter and uses a corvette computer. Heads are aluminum( not sure of manufacture) but are done really well with big stainless valves and good springs, also uses a rev kit with roller camshaft, cam and roller rockers are by Comp cams Dash uses all Auto meter gauges .22 GALLON FUEL CELL. Seats are Beard, very comfortable and very safe. Car has a 2 in chrome alloy 8 point roll cage, very stout. For someone who enjoys a weekend at the track this car is a blast to drive. There are two sets of wheels and tires, stock wheels with street tries, and aftermarket wheels with slicks.
