Description

Bought this car beginning of June thinking I would have time to drive and do a little TLC to it but life changes so am selling the car. It has nice paint job, beautiful color. I've seen a lot of these cars in different colors and in my opinion this color beats them all. Took a magnet to most of the car and only founda couple of inches on passenger sidebottom of very back where it didn't stick too well. It is a Chevrolet 210.
Below is a list of items that we know or believe have been done to the car. We have some paperwork that shows a lot of work was done to the car in March 2016 totaling almost $15,000 in work. Just started her up this morning, 9/18, starts up good, runs and sounds good.
New rubbersStainless polished (has a couple of dents)New PaintBumpers polished are original and have some blistering but look niceNew carpetSome New WindowsDoors shut like new and lockInterior is original to the carNew TiresNew hubcapsHood closes goodNew starterNew carpetAfter market camelback manifoldWindows roll up goodEmergency brake works
I had thefollowing done:
New distributer and capMounted plug wires on firewallNew points and condenserCarburetor was worked on and linkage fixedTiming resetNew generator beltFluid put in rear end
The mechanic told me the engine is a 283 from 1965. Car was built in Oakland Calif and I believe it's been in San Francisco most of it's life. It has a patch in the floor of passenger side front and I've included a picture of it.
Below is a list of items that I'm aware of that could use some TLC:
Old tie rodsBushings need to be repairedTiming chain leakTransmission leakHorn does not workRadio doesn't workHeating gage acts funny (engine does not get hot)Needs windshield wiper motorHeater is not hooked upBrake lights workSignal works in back, front might need bulbsSpeedometer and gas gage workSteering has some playOld shocksNeeds spare tireUnderneath the car is old. I cleaned it up pretty good with some degreaser.
A lot of the car has been restored and can still use some morerestoration.
It runs real good. The person I bought it from delivered it to me from 60-70 miles away, drove freeway. I've only driven it about 65 miles around town. Brakes are good, has new brake lines, stops really good. I'm told the engine was rebuilt 9000 miles ago but can't prove it though it runs well and doesn't smoke. I've owned a lot of antique cars and have sold them all on ebay over the years to all over the US. Car is in Redlands Calif (between Los Angeles & Palm Springs) and is sold as is where is. Buyer responsible for picking up car or getting it transported. Serious buyers feel free to come look at it. Serious buyers may call me at 909-798-4292.
