1954 chevy, Rat Rod, west coast choppers, lead sled
Description
This is your chance to own a one of kind 54 chevy. I have owned this car for a little over 2 years and the only thing I have done was the interior, which was completed last fall.
The car was chopped 6" up front and 7" in the rear. The b pillars were slanted which makes it all flow. It has the original front windshield which was cut down. The rear is plexiglass and the original side glass comes with the car but does need cut down. The driver door glass cracked sitting in storage. There is no wing glass. The frames have been cut down but need to be completed. The trunk also needs to be tinned out. The metal is all there and have all been cut, just need to weld all the pieces together. The hood was nosed and welded solid. Caddy headlights were worked in and doors were shaved. There are latches that you step on to pop the doors. The bumpers are original and were smoothed and rechomed. All the metal work that was done was done right and looks good. There hasn't been any puttying done. You can either putty and paint or leave as is and enjoy. Choice is yours.
The front end was gone through. New bushings and new king pins. Fat man 2" drop spindles. New brakes front and rear. Master cylinder has been rebuilt and all new brake lines. New fuel line. New battery cables. Rear air bags with leaf springs and some coil overs. Gambino frame notch kit installed. There are 5 wheels that have been sandblasted and painted.
The motor is a 1958 corvette 283(flint block) Probably around 3,000 miles on rebuild. Block casting number is 3756519 1958 heads casting numbers on them 3748772. Tri power setup with edelbrock intake. The carbs could probably use some adjusting. Starts and run fine but running a little rich. Rebuilt 12volt alternator. Rebuilt radiator. 1958 chevy bell housing with a 1962 borg warner T10 which was rebuilt as well, around 3,000 miles on it. Gear ratios are 2.54 1.92 1.51 1.00 Has rare chevy bow tie castings on main and tail cases. Heavy duty 1963 27 spline yoke. South west speedy drive shaft.
1956 chevy reared. Perches relocated and pinion angle set. Sits on 3" lowering blocks.
The factory gauges all work. The temp gauge is not hooked up due to the factory copper wire not being long enough. I have a after market temp gauge in the glove box.
All the lights, turn signals work.
Again all this work was already done by the previous owner. The only thing i have done was have new headliner, carpet and seats reupholstered. Iget this car out at least once a weekso the mileage will change. The car currently has 44,119 It had around 42,000 when I bought it. The gentleman that I purchased it from said it was a original mile car.
Just wanted to add This car runs and drives great! Goes down the highway at 70 with the temp at 180 Just a awesome car! Always a head turner!
I encourage anyone interested to come and check it out. Any questions or more pics, just call or text
