Description

A restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a very cool machine. But when you can get this enduring icon in the perfect color combo, and with the right upgrades in everything from the fuel-injected V8, to a more modern stereo... well, now you know this one is irresistible.LeMans Blue just seems like the right hue to have on a Super Sport styled coupe. It's shared with the Corvette's pallet of the same era, and its name simply suggests that you have a faster car than everyone else. This is a more recent application of the factory-correct color, and so it has a nice luster in the sunlight. But honestly, the shine of the paint and the glow of the white dual SS stripe package might look even better cruising around at midnight. And no matter what time of day you view this coupe, the light rolls off the body evenly thanks to an investment in plenty of new sheetmeatal during restoration that gives the first-gen Camaro's Coke bottle curves the right flair. The brightwork in '69 was not overly done from the factory, but you would only notice if it were not this complete and nice on areas like the thin bumpers and rocker panels. Instead, what really make this coupe a standout are the aggressive features like the front air dam, cowl hood, and D80 spoiler. And since under the hood is a more modern take on an iconic motor (more on that in a moment,) the chrome wheels are a modern update to the iconic torque thrust style. The bright white interior is the perfect coordinating color almost as if the white stripes on the outside are a hint at what awaits inside. While the appearance is like a time capsule from the '60s, the experience is far fresher. The restoration focused on adding the correct new materials such as new carpeting, headliner, sail panels, and door panels. But the investment you'll love the most are the bucket seats. Not only have they been recovered, but also there's new foam within them for superior comfort. This one feels like a correct classic right down to the center console with iconic horseshow shifter, but there is one very nice upgrade. The AM/FM stereo looks period-correct with its knob-style appearance, but this updated digital tuner has an auxiliary input so you can plug in the most modern music player to this very vintage ride. One look under the hood, and you can see there was plenty spent here during restoration. It's exceptionally tidy, but looks far busier than most other first-gen Camaros out there... and that's for a very good reason. This 350 cubic-inch V8 has a Fast EZ-EFI fuel injection system added for enhanced performance and reliability. Plus, there's an Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD distributor, and ceramic coated headers that help create that intimidating rumble out of the stainless dual exhaust. But there was more than just big performance added during restoration. This Camaro was given all the right reliable components from a new gas tank to an aluminum radiator. Up front, the suspension has new upper and lower control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, sway bar, and much more. The brakes have been redone with a new master cylinder, booster, and front discs. Are you starting to get the full picture? It's such a great all-around cruiser that it even has a Positraction rear end, and highway friendly four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive.This classic Camaro has the perfect vintage appearance, and all the upgrades you would have wanted to do are already ready to go. The only problem is you're not the only one who knows this is the ideal coupe. So hurry up and call today!
