Description:

This is one extremely documented vehicle. This ’53 Bel Air comes with a 3 inch binder covering the history of the vehiclealong with the restoration andmechanicalmaintenance since new! In 2001 the numbers matching motor was completely rebuilt with all new NOS parts. It was also disassembled and painted at that time to the present color ( Saddle Brown / Sahara Beige ) In 2005 the car was gone through again, with most if not all of the chrome getting redone along with a slew of additional items including the restoration of the factory radio. Overall this is an excellent driver, she starts up every time and needs nothing to enjoy. This 1953 Bel Air is Turn Key! Most recently all of the brakes and safety components have been gone through and it is ready for a cross country drive! The paint looks great and the interior looks immaculate!

Interior:

The interior is period correct and looks great with no major wear! It has many dealer options such as the day and night mirror / stoplight viewer / tissue box. All of the window cranks and door handles work with ease, and the gaskets are all in excellent shape. The interior was redone by Hampton Coach and the quality is verynice! Almost all of the receipts from the interior restoration are documented in the binder!

Exterior:

The exterior shows very well. It does have minor blemishes which can be seen in the photos, otherwise it is ready to win the next car show! All NOS parts have been used for the restoration. The underside looks very solid and does not exhibit any rust. All the chrome is in excellent shape along with all the glass. All exterior lights operate as they should, and the dual exhaust tips look and sound great! Overall the exterior is very very nice! You will not find any surprises if you are the new owner! It does look as good as the photos portray.

Drivetrain:

The drivetrain is in excellent working order, it was recently rebuilt and needs nothing. The trans shifts excellently and the motor sounds great at all speeds. There are no vibrations or pulling issues with the steering and suspension components. Overall a very well sorted car. It looks to be the correct 115hp straight 6 that came with it from birth. The valves are hardened so you can use 93 octane, but we have always put Avgas 98 in it. Brakes feel great and have been gone through within the past 20 miles. Everything checks out mechanically.
