Up for bid is a clean title 1985 k5 blazerThis blazer has a clean title, one original owner, and has passed smog.We originally bought this blazer for the engine and transmission to swap into our 1987 blazer but weren't able to do so because of emissions restrictions.
The engine is the original 350 C.I. V8 with a 4 barrel carb. The original owner ran synthetic oils all its life and the engine doesn't leak any oil that we have seen.Has a 4 core radiator and had a.c. at one point, but doesn't have the compressor or bracket now. Has a dual battery set up.
The transmission is a reman'd 700r4Runs great but does have a small leak around the fill/dipstick and does need to have the t.v. Cable properly adjusted.(The gear indicator on the dash is undone and doesn't move with the shift lever)Stock np208 transfercase with part time 4x4 (2hi/4hi/n/4l) and gm ten bolt axles with automatic locking front hubs, 3.73 gears and posi rear end.The tires are 31" bfg all terrains they have a lot of tread left but are 5 years old.
The body and chassis are in good condition, there are no dents damage or visible signs of rust. The paint is original and over 30 years old and is faded in areas. The interior of the blazer again has 30 years of wear and tear and is a bit rough but will clean up nicely. The front vent windows sing when you're going down the road but are not bent or broken. The front windshield is cracked as well as one of the sliding rear windows on the hard top. The original owner had a bunch of electronics in this blazer but pulled them all out before we got it and that left the radio inoperable.He also had a fewaccessories like a swing out tire carrierthat were removed before we received the blazer.Power locks and windows work, including the tailgate window and tailgate window switch on the dash.
