Description

1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Only 3 Indiana owners.
Body and frame are great. No frame rust or repairs. Body lines are great. Body has no stress cracks, crazing, or damage repairs that I can find. The car starts, runs, drives and stops OK. Has undergone a partial restoration with rebuilt engine (1965 327/350), new clutch kit, new fuel tank, new KYB shocks all around, new chambered exhaust (mellow sound but not too loud, literature says it sounds like an original side pipe car), new brake master cylinder, cooling hoses and carpet.
The car was painted about 8 years ago in the original Ermine White and still looks very good although there are imperfections that can be seen with close examination. The interior is black and in good condition but does show wear on the control knobs and dash. One seat bead is frayed a few inches. Otherwise, the covers are very good with no rips or tears or fading and are correct for a 66 car. The door panels, handles and knobs are still nice The car is basically original but has had some modifications. It has been debadged, it has an Edelbrock intake manifold and Carter competition carburettor, It has a Hurst shifter, aluminum valve covers, big block hood, rally wheels and spinner caps.
The car has its original 4 speed transmission and positraction rear end (with tag). The car is a convertible and only has the auxillary hardtop which is in very good shape except the back glass (I'm including a good used replacement glass). The car has BF Goodrich T/A radials with good tread left on them.
The headlights, wipers, speedometer, tachometer ( a little bouncey), temp gauge, fuel gauge, and oil pressure gauge work. The amp gauge does not. The odometer is broken and the exact mileage is unknown. The turn signals are intermittent. The horn button does not work but the horn does from the relay on. The clock, radio and heater do not work. The electric choke on the carb is not connected. The dash lighting and wiring still need to be sorted out.
The car is a great driver, local show car or restoration project.
I have a clear title in hand.
