Numbers matching 100% complete LS5 454SS Cortez Silver Bucket seat/Console
Description
Up for sale is my 1970 Monte Carlo Super Sport 454. Car is all original and numbers matching and is 100% complete. This car will need to be completely restored, engine seems to run well, transmission engages and car lot drives. Brakes work well enough to stop car at low speeds. This car has been stored since the 80's after it was in an accident where the passenger rear quarter panel was damaged. Car has surprisingly little rust other than some outer sheet metal issues for its age.
I have 2 build sheets for this car, and I included pictures of the dash VIN matching the engine VIN.The car does not have frame damage, the rocker is untouched. In my opinion the car will need full quarters. Trunk drops, outer wheel houses, front fender lower rear patch panels, a couple spots on the hood will need attention, and passenger door repaired or skinned. The outer sheetmetal and surface rust make the car look ratty, but it is a really solid car as far as floor pans and trunk.Since owning the car I rebuilt the carb, put on a new fuel pump, cleaned the gas tank, replaced ignition points, spark plugs, plug wires, and changed oil.
This is the last time I am going to deal with listing this car, there aren't too many LS5 454SS Monte Carlos out there with their original drivetrain and special equipment like the auto leveling system still present, besides the fact of the popular color combination. If it isn't worth my starting bid to anyone else, I will contently consider myself "stuck" with it.
I have clear title in hand and registration is current.
If there are any additional pictures you would like to see or you would like to talk to me about the car, please message me your request with email address, message me your phone number, or request mine.
Thanks for your interest, and please ask questions before you bid.
