This car is as original as they come. Documented by the ‘U’ code in the vin number designating LS3 engine and I have the original build sheet too, which was found under the rear seat. The engine is the original LS3, (called the "Turbo-jet 400" but actually was 402cid) but the block was replaced by GM with a CE block early in life. The engine is a factory 402cid with all other original components. The heads, M40 turbo 400 transmission and rear end are original to the car. This is an original air conditioned car. The car came with a posi-traction 12 bolt rear end. Also, original F41 suspension with disc brakes up front. It has power steering and power brakes. This car maintains its original color of ‘Sequoia Green’. The green interior 713 is also the correct color per the cowl tag. It has new carpet and the seat covers and interior are original, not reproduction. This is a rare and desirable color combo. The car is a very unmolested car. It is not a hacked up, raced, floor pans replaced, etc. etc. etc. kind of car. I believe all the body panels to be original to the car. The mileage on the car reads 24,021, which I believe to be 124,021 original miles.

The paint on this car looks great- no dents, no dings, and no rust. The stripes are painted under the clear coat. The front bumper is new. The rear bumper could be replaced, I have a decent used one if the new buyer wants it. Undercarraige is nice and original (no rattle can spray), no rust, original floor pans, see the pictures. The car idles, runs and drives great. Transmission shifts nice and smooth. The car drives straight down the freeway with no pulling or wandering. Engine idles smooth and steady (see the videos of the engine running in this auction).

The car has factory air conditioning, power steering, disc brakes and dual exhaust. The exhaust note is nice, not too loud but has a low rumble, with brand new flowmaster Delta Flow mufflers. The interior is great and original but needs a headliner - I have a brand new dark green one in the box that is included with the sale, along with the original trim pieces. All the electricals work- horn, lights, blinkers, brake lights, etc. The fuel gauge and radio do not work. The car also has new BFG tires with the original 72 rally wheels. In the trunk is a full spare (5th rally wheel/tire) and the original 1972 Chevelle jacking equipment.

This car is in nice driver condition, not a show car but more of an original car with newer paint that was very well kept by its original owner. It looks amazing - perfect for Sunday drives and local shows. It gets a ton of looks going down the road and I receive many compliments on this car. The car is rare and is documented by the U code in the VIN and the build sheet. This is also a great color combination. I have been dealing with these cars for a while and it is becoming very hard to find documented cars in this kind of original condition, especially at the price I am asking. The documented cars are the ones that will be worth more in the future, so you can enjoy it while it appreciates. Bid early and to win!

Please read my feedback, it speaks for itself. The factory put these cars together well, I see a lot of restored stuff that does not go back too well. I have the car priced with a low reserve.

There is no doubt that this car will appreciate in value over the next several years and is better than money sitting in your bank account, since you can enjoy the car while it appreciates (should appreciate faster than the interest from the loan for that matter). This is a great example of an original Chevelle big block. It is seldom one finds a car like this and it is getting harder to find cars in this kind of original condition…..so bid early, don’t miss out!
