Up for your consideration is my 1980 Corvette. It is a unmolested, original numbers, L-48 with automatic. It was driven up to NY from PA last summer for a Tinker Toy. The PA title showed less than 34K miles. How true that was is anybody's guess. The frame is excellent and shows factory paint and markings in places and when I replaced the valve cover/oil pan gaskets the inside of the motor was spotless so maybe it is true (see some pictures). I have decided to sell because it has become obvious I don't have the ambition to maintain 3 cars and we have found it difficult to get in and out of it as we are in our 70's.
The car has had thousands of dollars worth of work in the last few hundred miles.
1. New brakes including new rotors, pads, calipers (reg. not S.S.), master cyl., proportioning valve and shocks.
2. New radiator core.
3. New alternator and starter.
4. New water hoses and belts.
5. New choke and heater/A/C relays.
6. New plugs, AC Delco wires, Dist. cap and rotor (not installed yet).
7. New battery and some cables.
8. New front carpets and leather seat covers.
9. New black shade film on the glass T-Tops (easily removable-held on by static).
10. New chrome valve and air cleaner covers (I have the originals).
The A/C was converted to R-34, recharged and blew cold last August. The car starts, runs and drives without issues. This is an unmolested car with the exception of the CAT, the exhaust system was replaced before I bought it and the CAT was removed. The exhaust sys. is solid. The wheels are corrosion free and have new hub caps. The tires are like new. The power windows, antenna and head light doors work fine. One h. light door is lazy at times but the vacuum hoses look like they coulduse replacing. The clock does not work, all other gauges do. The radio is aftermarket and has static for whatever reason. The nose has some road rash that someone touched up. The windows are not rain tight at the T-Tops. It could use some rubber suspension work. It could use a repaint but looks good at 10'. This is not a show car but a nice daily driver while you turn it into one. A $300 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of sale with the balance to be paid in CASH within 30 days (not the 14 day eBay notice). I'm just testing the waters with it now and will be listing it on the Rochester, NY Craigslist this spring so watch for it come April/May. Please excuse the typing and spacing issues as my computer was not cooperating today.
