1986 Chevy Silverado 4x4
Description
This is an all original, low mile truck in nearly excellent condition. The original owner died in 2011 and truck had only 58,000 miles on it at the time of his death.
A little story on the original owner...he was a WW2 veteran and after the war he was a military chaplain, he had performed over five thousand burials of veterans. He loved to fish, hunt and camp and that was primarily his only use for the truck.
The second owner was his best friend and the man I had bought the truck from. He was also retired and the truck was only used as an extra vehicle.
Now on to the truck... everything is still original including, paint, interior, floor mats, exhaust, catalytic converter and smog pump. Nothing altered or added other than the topper and bed liner (both of these were installed within a month of new purchase). Never smoked in and no funny smells. Equipped with AC, tilt, cruise, intermittent wipers, overdrive automatic transmission, automatic locking hubs, carpet, cloth seat (in great condition), full gauge cluster, 4 speakers, power steering and power disk brakes.
Mileage is original at 77,375 with lots and lots of paperwork to back it up. Up until the original owner died (58,000 miles) the miles were written in a book at each fill up on gas, oil change or whatever. The 700R4 was rebuilt by the second owner at purchase along with a new battery and tires. The truck runs great and quite as a mouse.
It only has a few problems, a couple of very small rock chips on the windshield, the factory AM-FM radio plays when it wants to, sometimes it works great and sometimes nothing, I suppose that it has loose wire. Two rusty spots on the bed, they are down low right behind the wheel well and would be easy fixes, look at the pictures. The rubber sweeps for the door windows are dry rotted and should be replaced, they have caused small nickel size bubbles at the bottom outside of each door. The rest of the sheet metal looks solid with just a few tiny dings here and there, nothing noticeable really. The AC works, but doesn't blow ice cold, I have included everything needed to convert to 134. Green O-rings, drier, and two cans of 134. The bed topper needs the two shocks on the door, they won't hold it up any longer.
The interior is in great shape, perfect dash, all gauges work including the clock. Inside of the bed is dent free. Four wheel drive including the automatic locking hubs work great.
Fly in and drive it home or arrange for a shipper, this is an exceptional truck.Cash is preferred but check will be accepted if you are willing to wait until it fully clears from my bank, too many con artists on here.
