1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sports Coupe Hardtop 2-Door
Description
This is the real deal '57 Chevy BelAir!! and not some 210 or post chevy that people want to pass off as a Bel Air. It's an older restoration (80's) that's held up extremely well and still looks great. Black is the hardest color to paint on a restored vehicle and it shows straight body lines, great door gaps, and a couple of minor flaws that I'll point out in the pictures. It's got 327 double hump Corvette motor from the early 60's for amazing driveability and power. Mated to a power glide it scoots and handles quite well! It comes with original wheels and hubcaps and a set of corvette wheels that really look good. Both sets of tires are older but not showing signs of rot and plenty of tread life. Brakes work great and I just put in a new radio with aux input so I can stream 50s tunes from my iphone. This is a real head turner and always draws tons of interest at car shows and drive ins.
Detailed condition description: Everything is original from the previous restorationand has help up very well. Interior is restored with fresh seat covers and carpet and dash paint, the gauges and chrome inside are all original and shine but show some age (clock and temp guage are not working), I would rate this an 8/10. Exterior looks fantastic from 5' and rates an 8/10 with a couple of small bubbles formed in three locations that have not grown in the 4 years I've owned the vehicle (see pics). Mechanically the vehicle is 9/10 with an engine that starts immediately, runs well, suspension and shocks all perform flawlessly, brakes are original drum brakes and stop the car impressively quick. There is a small transmission drip but otherwise there is no leakage from engine, rear end or anywhere.
