1955 Chevrolet Cameo Truck
Description
Here is your chance to own possibly the most virgin and original survivor 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup in the world. It has been one family owned its entire life. They are only original once!! This would be the perfect candidate to drive as is or restore to show condition. It is 95% original paint. The only new paint is on the rear bumper and a small amount around the rear taillight. This truck is virtually rust free. The only small part is a dime size whole on the driver's cab corner. This has been shown clearly in the picture. Frame is extremely rust free with no scaling. It just has dirt on it. I chose not to steam clean it to show the originality. This truck has been sitting in a dry pole barn since 1972. It has the original wood bed in it that came from the factory. One board has some rot in it. The rest are fine. It needs many of the bolts holding the strips down replaced. The driver's side vent window is cracked. The door glass goes up and down nicely. The doors open and shut like new. It appears to have a small bullet hole in the tailgate. The tailgate functions perfectly. I have cleaned the gas tank out and put new brake lines and wheel cylinders on it. Also a new master cylinder. The ignition has been gone through with new coil, plugs, rotor cap, and points and condenser. The truck runs and drives very well. You can see how original the engine compartment is. It still has the factory wax crayon markings on the firewall. This truck was a radio delete truck. The lights and brake lights all work fine. It appears to be the original engine also. I was told by the family that it had never been out or apart. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. With the value of survivor vehicles going through the roof at the auctions, this is one to not let get away. Please call me with any questions. Blake 260-433-4244.
