Description

1972 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY WAGON
THIS WAGON SPENT MOST OF IT'S LIFE IN CALIFORNIA UNTILL I PURCHASED IT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ANY WHERE TO BE SEENEXCEPT FOR ONE TINY HOLE BELOW PASSENGER REAR DOOR.I BELIEVE MOST OF THE PAINT ( IF NOT ALL ) TO BE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR. THE PAINT HAS IT'S NICKS AND SCRATCHES CONSISTENT TO THE AGE OF THE CAR. THE LONG SIDES ARE PRETTY FLAT WITH JUST AN OCASIONAL SMALL DING. THE PAINT IS ALSO A LITTLE THIN IN A FEW PLACES. ALL THE STAINLESS AND CHROME LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION. THE WOODGRAIN SIDES ARE NOT ORIGINAL TO THE CAR.
EVEN THOUGH THIS WAGON CAME EQUIPPED WITH THE 440 ENGINE I DON'T BELEIVE IT IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR. THE BLOCK IS A 1967 BLOCK AND I WAS TOLD IT IS THE HIGH PERFORMANCE TNT ENGINE. IT IS JUST A LITTLE BIT COLD NATURED UPON START UP BUT ONCE WARMED UP RUNS VERY SMOOTHLY. IT HAS PLENTY OF POWER. THEIR ARE NO FUNNY NOISES OR RATTLES. THE 727 AUTO SHIFTS SMOOTHLY AND THE 323 SURE GRIP IS QUIET AND FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD. THIS BIG LAND BARGE DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD VERY SMOOTHLY WITH NO WANDERING OR RATTLES AND STEERS AND STOPS AS IT SHOULD. IT DOES HAVE AN ELECTRICAL FUEL PUMP. THE TIRES LOOK TO HAVE VERY LITTLE WEAR.
THIS WAGON CAME LOADED FROM THE FACTORY WITH OPTIONS INCLUDING A/C POWER WINDOWS AND SEAT, CRUISE CONTROL, POWER LOCKS STEERING AND BRAKES. WHILE ALL THE COMPONENTS SEEM TO BE THERE THE A/C AND CRUISE ARE NOT FUNCTIONING. THE GAS GAUGE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE AND RADIO ARE ALSO NOT WORKING. ALL THE POWER WINDOWS WORK WITH THE VERY BACK WINDOW BEING A LITTLE SLOW.
THE INTERIOR IS IN TOTALLY ORIGINAL CONDITION WHICH INCLUDES SEATS DASH CARPETING DASH PAD ETC. THE CARPET IS SHOWING WEAR AND THE FRONT SEAT HAS SOME SPLITS IN THE SEAMS WHERE YOU SIT. THE HEADLINER IS JUST STARTING TO SEPERATATE IN THE FRONT BY WINDSHEILD. THE DOOR PANELS ARE IN DECENT ORIGINAL CONDITION. ALL THE TINTED GLASS LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION.
ALL IN ALL THIS WAGON IS IN NICE ORIGINAL CONDITION. I BOUGHT IT WITH THE INTENTION OF PUTTING A TRAILER HITCH ON IT AND PULLING ARROUND SOME OF MY OTHER MOPARS BUT SOMETIMES PLANS CHANGE. I HAVE TRIED TO EXPLAIN EVERY THING TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY BUT IT IS A 45 YEAR OLD CAR AND I MAY HAVE MISSED SOMETHING. THIS WAGON IS BEING SOLD WHERE IS AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES BEING WRITTEN EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. WHILE SHIPPING IS RESPONSIBILITY OF PURCHASER I WILL ASSIST AS POSSIBLE. THIS CAR SHOULD BE PICKED UP WITHIN 30 DAYS OF SALE DATE UNLESS PREVIOUS ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE. I STRONGLY RECOMEND PRE INSPECTIONS AND WILL M,AKE CAR AVAILABLE TO DO SO.
