Description

What a great find! This 1985 Chrysler LeBaron 2 dr. Sedan is pretty rare being a 2dr.hardtop. K-cars were a dime a dozen back in the 80's and 90's. Finding one at all these days is difficult. Finding one in this conditionis nearly impossible. This is a base model LeBaron with 85K original miles that has been garage kept and loved by it's former owner. It is one of the nicest original cars I've ever dealt with as a hobbyist.
There is a video of the car on my youtube channel "seacrow"
As usual I will provide you with a walkaround of the car and describe it as I know it.
Exterior- It's amazing that I can't find one single ding anywhere on this car. The paint is all original, shiny smooth and perfect. There is one tiny paint chip on the drivers rocker panel and one tiny rust spot on the drivers door bottom, that's it. I can't find any other flaws in the paint. Some of the anodized aluminum trim is a little dull and the chrome in the bodyside moldings has some minor wear. The original vinyl top is perfect! The hubcaps are flawless, the white wall tires are like brand new. It really is in amazing condition. The biggest flaw of only a few, is that the passengers side taillight has a chip in the upper corner, which I provided a photo of. I would rate the exterior of this car a strong 9 out of 10. It really is near showroom perfect.
Interior- More of the same on the inside. The drivers seat shows some minor wear as does the carpet in the drivers foot well, very very minor. The headliner has a couple of very minor flaws and there are two tiny (smaller than a pencil lead) red spots on the passenger front seat. It has a brand new JVC aftermarket CD player which sounds good. The dash has a minor crack on the plastic. Everything not mentioned is perfect, all interior lights and gauges work, no bad smells, it's like a time warp back to 1985. I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10
Mechanical- The 2.2 TBI engine fires right up and runs perfect. The brakes and transmission and flawless. The AC is ice cold. NO leaks NO smoke of any kind. It is in amazing mechanical condition. There is an occasional belt squeak and that is the only mechanical flaw, if you could call it that. Mechanically its a 9.5 out of 10.
Overall- This is the most impressive survivor 80's car I've seen in a long long time. K-cars are very much future collector cars and this one is awesome being out of the ordinary in so many ways and it's superb condition. I would rate the car overall a 9 out of 10.

Update 4-25-17 I have had some questions and a couple of people have come and inspected the car. Just wanted to clarify that the vinyl top does have some sun damage on the uppermost part. Also when someone was inspecting the car they apparently slammed the hood pretty hard and the two forward most strut mount studs made two Tiny inverted dimples in the hood. They are very minor but they are noticeable. I have adjusted the hood stops to prevent this from happening again. There is also one small rust spot on the bottom of the passenger door as well. The rust spots are not rusted through but they do need to be sanded down and touched up to prevent any further damage. Still these are very very minor flaws and the car does look absolutely gorgeous. If anyone wants pictures of this please message me through eBay and I will send it to you.
