Description

Wedgewood Blue with a blue leather interior and a blue convertible top.

One of 922 built. Original 413 c.u. in engine, automatic push button transmission, fully loaded – power steering, power seats, power windows, antenna and top, auto pilot, air conditioning, high beam sentry, AM/FM radio. Newer tires, battery, new brake booster and rear drums, new OE battery cables, replaced ammeter (fall 2015), newer front end parts and alignment. Parade boots like new! Lightly driven – car has only 52,317 original miles on the odometer. This is a well maintained automobile and runs great!

The interior and the top are original and in good shape. The leather seat covers show 51 years of wear but are in good condition. The seat foam was replaced a few years ago and both seat motors (up/down, fore/aft) work fine. The carpet has been replaced and is the correct color. There is one crack in the dash pad. Please note that the pictures of the interior included in this auction were taken BEFORE the carpet was replaced and the seat foam work was done.

The car was repainted by the original owners in 1965 to the 1965 version of Chrysler’s Wedgewood Blue. It still wears that paint today! Car has been garage kept. It has some surface rust around the rear wheel openings (mostly on the drivers side) but the body panels are straight as an arrow. There is one kerdunk in the rear bumper (passenger side) where the previous owner backed into a post!

The original flocked owner’s manual is still in the glovebox and looks brand new. Also included is a repair manual and a car cover with the “Imperial” name embroidered on the front. It’s been cruisin’ Woodward Avenue in the Detroit area and has even been on TV!
