It has 60,552 original miles, is a California car and the chrome rocker trim for the passinger side goes with the car. This car is one of the first muscle cars produced in the USA. The New Yorker entered 1961 with a new grill, slanted headlights, and a continental kit on the trunk lid. The 413 CID "RB" Golden Lion V-8 continued. This is the last of the "Forward Look" models. Chrysler built 2,541 New Yorker two-door hardtops this year, the last until 1964 in Canada and 1965 in the U.S.
1961 is the last year of the Virgil Exner design. Virgil Max "Ex" Exner Sr. (September 24, 1909 - December 22, 1973) was an automobile designer for numerous American companies, notably Chrysler and Studebaker. He is known for his "Forward Look" design on the 1955-1963 Chrysler products and his fondness of fins on cars for both aesthetics and aerodynamics.
This car is sold as is and buyer is responsible for any PayPal fees. I have clean CA title and I drive this car every week. People love taking pictures of it when I am parked on Sunset Blvd every Friday night. It is a great looker.
