Description

Very rare 1939 Chrysler Imperial Club Coupe.
This is one that never had a back seat, just a huge trunk and large package tray behind the front seat.
Formally a Gasser Drag Race Car, it was in storage and has not been street driven in a long time.
Looking at the two off set holes in the hood it looks to once be Hemi Powered. It is now powered by a stock 1972 318 that needs a rebuild.
It has headers and new Holly 4 barrel on a cast iron factory 4V intake. 727 transmission, GM (Camaro) front frame and suspension, GM 10 bolt rear on coil overs.
The previous owner was building a Rat Rod.
It runs and drives, but the rear brakes need work, the power steering pump is not installed and is missing the cooling fan blade.
The car will yard drive and will load onto a trailer or transport for shipping.
The sheet metal is very solid, but shows age and has a couple of issues here and there, no door glass, no trunk floor, no bumpers, no tail lights.
I have some chrome trim but have not inventoried what is there.
Evidence of the rat rod build is here with gate hinges, hardware store bought handles, etc. The car could be turned into a long term project as a high dollar hot rod, made back into a gasser or finish as a drive-able and rare Mopar Rat Rod. No matter what, you would likely always be the only guy around with this car. There are very few left.
eBay requires that I select a title type, but there was not a selection that pertained to this car. This car came from a state that does not have titles for cars this old and it never had a title (New Hampshire). It has not been on the road for over 40 years, so there is not a registration or title that comes with the car. You would have to go through whatever process is required in your area to obtain a title if you wanted to drive it on the road. eBay also requires that I put mileage, but that is unknown.
