1963 Chrysler Imperial Crown Coupe

This listing is for an Imperial Crown Coupe, 1 of 1067 built in 1963. Chances are pretty good you've never seen one in person before and when you do, you'll appreciate the effort Chrysler made to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln. It had a base price of $5,412 and this one has power seats, power windows, heater (yes, it was a $136 option in 63), radio, passenger side mirror, tinted glass, and seat belts.
Note the unique styling touches such as the headlights mounted on stalks rather than built into the body and how the seams around the hood and trunk lid have been smoothed. At nearly 19 feet long, this car offers a lot of interior room, enough to carry 6 passengers in supreme comfort and this car still rides very smooth as you might imagine the land yachts of the day would.
The tires are in very good condition, and the same can be said of all the exterior trim and paint. The paint has a nice shine to it and apparently all the trim was removed when it was repainted - no overspray is found, and the cars door jambs were painted as well. The "Imperial" emblems are not on the front fenders. Note the hand painted lettering on the trunk lid - at first I was going to remove it but decided to let it remain.This car left the factory painted Mayan Gold. The other deviations from stock are the radio and rear deck 6x9 speakers, and glass pack mufflers. They aren't loud but do rumble more than stock mufflers would. The interior I believe to be the original tan cloth it was born with.
The items that need attention include: A/C needs charged, power steering pump has a leak, speedometer does not work but another is included. This car is 54 years old, may have other issues but these are the ones that I'm aware of. Runs, drives and stops just fine and is currently licensed and operational for use on public roads. The car comes with a bunch of other parts, too numerous to list with items like window tracks and other original type items that may be hard to fund.
