1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Original Hemi
Description
There are many cars out there called survivors and I've owned several over the years. This however is one of the most remarkable examples of an original vehicle that I've had the occasion to own and drive. Aside from general maintenance and a repaint in the original color many years ago, this is an all original 1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe. This car has the first generation 331 Hemi in the four barrel 235HP form. Automatic with power steering and brakes. Original positive ground 6 volt electrical system. Runs, drives and stops very well. A pleasure to drive actually. Recently replaced the tires for safety and just so it can be enjoyed. I purchased this car from the second owner. Original owner was from Grand Rapids, MI and took the car from the factory as a "customer driveway". There is the correct metal tag noting this on the vehicle ID plate under the hood. To my knowledge and based on the previous owners account, this is the original mileage on this car. The mechanical condition and appearance seems to confirm this. Rust is very minimal, mostly surface and typical undercarriage stuff. No holes or major concerns. Everything works except the radio. Has original keys and I also have the original 1954 Chrysler dealer brochure that is more like a book than an advertisement. Has a clear NC title that has passed muster with the DMV inspections division. Call with questions at eight two eight 788-3467. No paypal. Cash or cashiers check against a major bank in person only.
