Description
Feb/1964, Corte Madera, CA: a banker get boring with his job and decide have fun in racing. He went to Doug Dicker Chrysler-Plymouth dealer and tell a salesman he want the most powerful car with very least option. Month later, Mar/20, he came back and drive this gigantic machine home. The story might not true, but this car is in fact a factory sonoramic 390HP/530lb-ft @ 3600rpm (consider the most serious 392 hemi made 390HP/470lbs-ft @ 3600rpm, this 300K is a brutal). No power windows, no redundant AC, but power steering, power brake and swaybar (yes, factory installed in 1964) to help control a monster.
Chrysler crossram called a Banker Hot Rod, because its a most luxury car with a most powerful engine, too often they come with AC; this car is the only crossram car, so far, that didnt come with AC, you will love every bit of it. The car is all original, except a 413 replaced by a 440. Its crazy quick, burn tire at stop light, you can feel Ram-charger in-action when accelerating. The car has little rust at right-lower-quarter, a small damage in rear-right-fin because garage close; the rest of the body include frames, floors, trunk, rocker panels... all are excellent. Driver seat has some tears, all other interior are nice and clean.
About three thousand 300K made in 1964, but roundly six hundred 300K ordered with Ram Induction (332 order code). The Ram Induction is extraordinary design in the 60s, and is one of the most interesting invention of all time. When a large enough mixture form in a long tubes, they will have significant mass. By impact of vacuum, this mass of mixture will keep smashing into combustion chamber, result in bigger explosion and maximize horse power. All Ram Induction powered car is not only a car, it a piece of history that remark a most brilliant time of automobile industry.
Car has clear title, registered in my name. Any question call me at 703 853 0045

On May-20-18 at 19:44:14 PDT, seller added the following information:As stated early, the 413 is replaced by original owner, it has 1968 440 engine now. The rest of the car, include an unobtainable exhaust-manifold and carburetors, are original. I have IBM build card for this car. The car is a real low mileage 67,000 miles. This car has power-brake, if any bidder can point out where it is, I will offer 20% of any item in my store, your knowledge your reward.

Rarely do I see much interested at once, I'd like to take this chance to share some interesting information about Chrysler crossram:
There are 2 versions of Ram Induction: long-ram use in 1960-62, and short-ram use in 1963-64. Both are same physical dimension 30" long, only internal passage are difference. Long-ram rate 380HP/525lb-ft @ 2800rpm. Short-ram boost to 390HP/530lb-ft @ 3600rpm. 1963 Chrysler 300J & 1964 Chrysler 300K are the two most powerful of all Ram powered. Some book actually rate them at 400HP.
Chrysler letter series are high performance personal luxury car, no small block ever put in any letter series. Since 1960, Ram Induction is standards in any Chrysler letter series. 1964 is the only year, Ram Induction is an option when order a 300K. 1964 also is the last year of all Ram Induction powered. Through 5 years of production, less than 4000 Ram powered Chrysler ever made. A chance you see a Hemi powered at any car show is greater than a chance you see Ram powered, if it ever come up the show.
Although Ford & GM made some bad ass car and alternatively top seller of Big Three; Chrysler remains the most innovation car manufacturing. Ram Induction associate with Chrysler branch only, and is the craziest idea a person can think of to increasing power. It remind how fiercely racing competition is in the 60s. Yet the fact that carburetors sitting not on top, but on two 30" long tubes across engine is beyond many people imagination, a real intimidation factor.
