1989 Chrysler's "Touring Coupe" by Maserati
Description
Project that is too much for me while in training! Would love to see it through but just do not have the time. This is an interesting piece of Automotive History as a collaboration between Maserati and Chrysler as a luxury "Touring Coupe" for the US market with combination REMOVABLE HARDTOP, CONVERTIBLE RAGTOP. The car was based on the Daytona chassis with Maserati designed and hand built interior, bodywork was produced by De Tomaso subsidiary Innocenti. The car is powered by a slightly detuned 160 bhp (119 kW; 162 PS) Daytona-spec turbocharged 2.2 L straight-4. This is the most comfortable(ergonomic) interior, supple leather hand-stitched by Maserati. Only produced from 1989-1991 with total production of 7300 units, this car is destined to become a classic.
Pluses:
Cold AC when parked last fall
NEW PAINT on the unibody due to insurance claim of scratch in a parking lot
Extremely comfortable interior in good condition
HARDTOP with circular, beveled-glass opera windows with a six-point latching system/SOFTTOP convertible
NEW TIRE, brake pads and rotors
Minus (Needs):
Water pump
Electronic Braking Booster
Steering Coupler
Pain on hood and hardtop
Back glass in Ragtop
Not currently running due to water pump
