1962 Chrysler Newport Convertible. Lovely car well sorted and drives great!

This is a really nice 62 Newport Convertible. It was restored at some point and when done, two small patches of rust were carefully repaired on the floor. The trunk floor is great. The car has its original engine and transmission both of which have been rebuilt. It has a power top and power windows. Aside from those options, it is a very lightly optioned car.

I bought it from long-term ownership out of New York but have to sell because I need to free up $$ to buy another Chrysler. The car had been in upstate NY from new and was always in service. Current ownership drove it regularly and kept it very well maintained. The car currently has new radial tires on it but also has a set of wide white bias ply for display in great condition.

Everything in the car works including the heat, radio, all power items, windows, etc. The frame and body are very solid and have no visible rust or rust repair anywhere. The car also does not seem to have ever been in any accident.

The car starts easily even in the cold and drives well. The E-brake functions correctly.

Issues with the car:

E-brake bakelite handle is missing. E-brake works perfectly

Car is an older repaint and has some slight blemishes.

Chrome and trim are excellent restored or mint original.

Top is good but older.

Top mechanism works perfectly and the top goes up and down easily.

Seats and carpeting are very nice.

Engine bay clean but not detailed.

Trunk is completely original with original lining in place.

I have lots of pictures in addition to the 24 the Ebay allows. I think you d be hard pressed to find a better quality and driving Newport of this vintage.
