1960 Valiant Suburban (Plymouth)
Description
1960 Valiant Suburban, slant 6, 3 speed on the floor. I have too many projects ahead of this very rare car. I am currently working on my 70 Hurst Chrysler 300H. It is a shame this rare Valiant is just sitting and not being restored. It was a New Mexico car and is very solid in all the usual bio degradable areas on these cars, that's why you never see any of these at the shows. Like all desert cars the interior is shot, but, I have a set of blue upholstery already made for the front & rear seats that will go with it. I have a clean Missouri title in my name. I had intended to install a 6.1 Gen III HEMI in it and make a sleeper out of it like I did my 63 Fury. I am getting older and reality set-in, it needs to go to a MoPar person that will finish it before it gets into any worse shape. BTW I finished my stock 61 Valiant Suburban and it gets crowds everywhere I take it. Even at gas stations when I fill up it generates a crowed asking questions. Also this is a one year only car sold by Chrysler Dealers; in 61 the Valiant line was reassigned to Plymouth and stayed their till it's demise in 1976. Road & Track magazine considered the Valiant to be "one of the best all-around domestic cars" Funny I just realized Wikipedia used a before photo of the rear of my 61 Valiant wagon. Should give them a hard time.
