1964 Chrysler 300 Sedan 383CID 4Brl (Non-Letter)
Description
This is a large, long, and fast sedan. Not a trailer queen or concourse but rather a car that will be enjoyed on Friday night dates, local car shows, or Mopar car events. Very few still in existence. Unique features include push button torque-flight automatic transmission. Strong engine and transmission. Vehicle is 95% original. Chrome is overall good but there is pitting in some areas. Rear chrome bumper has a dent.
I have driven this vehicle at speeds in excess of 100mph and it drives straight and true with absolutely no shakes or shimmy. 383 cubic engine has the following upgrades: new Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake, new distributor, and new water pump thermostat, fuel pump, battery.
Other repairs include new brakes/drums, new tires, new brake booster, new window sweeps, all fluids have been flushed and refilled.
Mechanic has gone through and fixed all items, except for: Dash Temperature Gauge - reads hot although thermal heat gun on engine shows expected 185 degrees. Mechanic has troubleshot to be a faulty run on instrument circuit board. Does not affect performance of engine. Possible fixes - install an aftermarket temp gauge or replace instrument board.
Front seat bottom inserts are ripped - as we don't have a local upholsterer, this could be easily remedied if you live in a larger metropolitan area with upholstery shops.
Vehicle has some inner-skin rust around the headlamp areas, but you can't see it unless you remove the headlamp rings.
Car looks as though it has been repainted at some point in the past. Has been waxed but might benefit from a buff, repaint – or enjoy as-is. Pictures will provide a good perspective of the vehicle.
As it is being sold as-is, I would recommend you personally inspect the vehicle.
