Description

1962 Chrysler 300H Convertible Listed on behalf of the owner. Located in Portland, Oregon. Serial number 8423 121259. Produced on October 18, 1961, this is one of just 123 Chrysler 300H convertibles made for the 1962 model year. Sold by Wordon-Martin Chrysler in Champaign, Illinois, the early ownership history is unknown. By the early 1990's it was in the collection of a Chrysler 300 Club member who researched the pedigree of the car and confirmed it is a factory 300H convertible. See documents below. He sold it to the current owner in Oregon approximately 22 years ago. A full restoration was then commissioned which included work by noted Chrysler 300 marque specialist, Merle Wolfer. This was a painstaking, 20-year, nut-and-bolt frame-off restoration that is very correct in all details. Since completion in 2015 the car has been driven less than 150 miles and never shown. All receipts from the restoration will be included. The body is beautiful with correct Chrysler "Festival Red" (code PP7) color. Laser straight with all chrome re-plated to show quality. New black power top (the only deviation from the build card which originally lists a white top.) Top raises and lowers quickly. New, correct tan upholstery. All interior trim has been refinished and is gorgeous. Power windows. FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. The unique instrument cluster was fully restored. 7-button "Golden Touch" radio with power antenna, tinted glass and stone shields with sill moldings. Radial tires. The rebuilt 413 cubic inch, 380 HP Wedge V-8 with dual Carter 4-barrel carburetors runs beautifully with plenty of power. Push-button Torqueflite transmission shifts well. Runs cool. A real pleasure to drive. On the freeway this car GOES! There is little to add. If you want an exceptionally-rare Chrysler (estimated to be one of 39 remaining) for show or go, this is one of the best. A realistic reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its quality and rarity and WELL BELOW VALUE GUIDE PRICING. It is being sold to settle an estate and someone is going to get a bargain. It would be impossible to duplicate to this level for the offering price. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
