1950 Citroen Traction Avant 11BL
Description
1950 citroen 11cv Traction Avant BL. Ex Police pursuit car bought in France in 1974. Always garaged in Texas. No rust. Dual carburetors, Speed intake manifold, head and ignition. High capacity oil pan (7qts). Engine and transmission rebuilt. New clutch. Restoration started in 2003. Painted in 2008. Seats, door panels and carpet done in 2012 with all original materials. This was my father's dream project car and sadly he had a stroke in 2013. I had the carbs rebuilt and car mechanically refreshed in 2015 by Vintage Car Solutions in Houston, Texas. Replaced the headliner with original material in April 2016. My father will not be able to drive ever again so we are selling it now. Dad started the Citroen Club of Houston in the early 70's and had most every model of Citroen (DS's, SM's, CX's, 2CV's) and this was his favorite. He got the OEM grill in France on vacation in 2005 and brought it back as a carry on in the plane! Car has rock chips from test drives (gravel roads) and scratches from sitting in the barn for a few years while we waited to see how much recovery my father would make. Less than 100 miles on it since 2003. Runs and drives great. Very peppy! Needs tires and minor interior trim (provided) installed. Just a super cool, solid beautiful car!
