Citroen 2cv 1965
Description
This car is as much of France as you can get in the USA-- brings you right back to 70's French films. Cruisin' (of course, at a max of 63 mph) with this car and the top down is truly a spectacular feeling.
So, I am very reluctant to be selling this beauty, but happy to give it a new, loving owner. I have had the pleasure of owning this fully restored 2CV for about 4 years now, but don't have nearly enough time to enjoy her. Car has very low millage & kept as original as possible!
The car starts and runs well, even in Massachusetts winters. The car has only been driven 3-4 times a year, mainly in car parades and shows and a couple of hot summer days. Milage is 18,283 miles, converted from the actual reading of the speedometer which is in km (29423).
It is in remarkable condition for its antique age. There is no rust anywhere on the body, frame, or windshield. It was kept in garage by the original owner and myself as well since I have owned it. Absolutely no leaking through the roof or any other area of the car. Clean, well maintained and original interior. Convertible top is in great condition and works efficiently. All of the windows, and locks of doors and trunk are working. The AC is working (direct wind via the vents, of course).
The engine runs well and strong, and transmission is also in good shape. Clutch shifts well. The car is 602cc, 29hp, disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the back, all fully functional. Four speed manual transmission. For the last two or three years, the car has only been fueled by non ethanol fuel.
It also has five new tires, and minimal milage on them. In addition, I own three additional brand new Michelin tires, and I am willing to give them with the car.
The car has passed Massachusetts inspection every year without problems. Equipped with windshield wipers and windshield wiper fluid manual pump. Front and rear seat belts. Car doesn't have more than 1,000 miles in the last decade. Truly, the car does not need any work to my knowledge.
Many 2CV's come up on Ebay, but few are with such low milage and without major restoration due. I am only selling as I am downsizing my collection and in need of extra space, and I would rather see the car being enjoyed the way she should be.
You are welcome to inspect the car on Nantucket, MA where I live. Buyers will be responsible for handling shipping costs from Nantucket to your destination.
