Description

1939 Huppmobile Skylark street rod project with 1936 Cord 810 front clip mounted on Hupp frame. No front suspension (yet). All four fenders mounted. Except top, most of the fender and bodywork done.

Cord 810 "mint" front clip, (fenders and hood) plus an extra "fence" (grille). This second fence would extend the fins along into the front doors to be faired in.

The FWD sheetmetal beneath the hood was replaced with second Cord hood inverted below the front of the fence for a “mirror image” nose look. Bottoms of the Cord front fenders were trimmed off and replaced with the top half of the Skylark fenders turned upside down and swapped left to right before being welded to Cord fenders. Three of the four steel fender skirts have been made to produce a stylish custom four “pontoon fender” Cord.

Includes one or two Studebaker windshields. Car has linear actuators in the rear to raise and lower it at touch of a switch. No front suspension. Narrowed rear housing and axles with coil over suspension. Includes small block Chevy V8 and automatic transmission. Deduct $2,500 if engine/trans not included. Except for top, most of the body and fender work is done. Car located in DE.

Artist/designer Ed Newton, a graduate of Art Center School of Transportation Design and designer of most of ED "Big Daddy" ROTH's creations, helped on the artwork. Another Art Center grad, famed “Cadzilla” designer Larry Erickson submitted several interior design proposals attached
