Description

Up for sale is a good foundation for a z car project. This would be a perfect affordable project for an enthusiast or collector! 97,000 miles on the odometer! This car is overall solid, with a good frame and decent exterior, the front fenders are in good shape with minor rust ( see pics). The major rust areas are the floors, similar with all z cars, the drivers side will need a patch and the passenger side will most likely need a full replacement. The spare tire well has some rust but no major holes, and the area where the hatch sits is in decent shape. All of the panels are straight and fit tight, meaning no replacements over the years or accidents. This 260z no longer has the flat top carbs that gave them such a bad reputation, it is now running with earlier 240z round-top su carbs! This car runs with an external tank but we haven't tried using the stock lines and tank because of the debris and grime that could be in the tank from sitting which could damage the engine. The tank will need to be flushed and the car will need some fine tuning but it runs fairly smooth, to show that the engine isn't seized, the brakes and clutch will also need to be checked. Overall, this is a good project car and a one year only car, making it perfect for collectors and average enthusiasts alike!
