This is a super nice Highly Collectable Low Mile 1 Owner So Cal Datsun 638 BLACK PEARL 280Z in EXCELLENT condition all around!! This original Black Pearl is fresh out of long term storage and has been refreshed and serviced as a reliable driver.This car has been loved and maintained by one owner its entire life and it shows!! It was owned by an elderly woman who moved the car to Arizona and had it painted (ironically) pearl white. This Z car is a time capsule and is completely unmolested. It retains its unmodified matching numbers drivetrain as well as the majority of its factory parts and factory undercoating as well as UNUSED jack and spare, books / manuals, keys, etc . Superb runner/driver!! I am a serious Z collector... do your research on black pearl Z's... special edition for 1978 only and very rare... especially in this condition with 1 owner... there is one on ebay currently for $39K... this is a real opportunity!! This little Z would be an awesome weekend cruiser, daily driver, or addition to any collection.
The body is laser straight and rust free with no collision damage that I can see. All critical Z problem areas are rock solid. Frame, floors, and chassis are excellent. Re-Paint was done many years ago and presents beautifully with only the most minor blemishes. The car is awesome as is but a quality paint job in original black pearl metallic will raise its collector value significantly.
The interior is excellent as well... panels, carpet, and headliner all look great... Seats were redone with cloth inserts and drivers seat has some ware on the outside bolster. Dash is cracked under the full face cover. Gauges, lights, and electronics all work properly including except the clock (of course)!!... I have another clock. Original Am/fm works great and cold AC!!
Original L28 motor starts idles and runs fantastic... tuned perfectly! The car has great power... factory 5-speed Trans shifts smooth and strong through the gears!! Suspension feels tight and provides excellent ride and all new brakes stop straight and sure. Strong, powerful, and reliable... freshly serviced and tuned... ready to roll.... definite daily driver capable.
Overall this is a really cool Classic Z in great condition all around. I am a Z collector. This one makes a great investment and/or Awesome Weekend Cruiser, daily driver, or whatever you like. Great for any enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool and unique Vintage sports car at a great price.
