“I had the car brought from Georgia in an enclosed trailer and delivered directly to Davids Classics for inspection. I paid $10k. The car was supposed to have been a older restoration. I had the motor pulled and upon inspection it appeared the motor was rebuilt. I had all new gaskets installed. the second gear syncro was out so i had the tranny rebuilt too. the front end had been rebuilt with the exception of the steering box. i assume the reason was the cost of $1100. i bought a new one and had it installed. lots of other items were attended to. pls see the invoice. it totaled 7300 bucks. New hoses, heater hoses and valve, new battery, sway bars repaired etc
The car didn't run correctly so i located the local Z club technical adviser and took it to his shop. it was as close as i could come to a 2000 expert. i had the carburetors rebuilt, general tune up and the electrical system repaired. Wheel bearing seals replaced, shifter boot, turn signals repaired, horn fixed... lots of small things on the car. The tab was $3300The convertible top is white and hasn't been on the car for years. it appears to be in decent shape. there is a toneau cover Ive just taken it off for the pics. The seats are in good shape and the carpet is relatively new. lots of the chrome was replaced on the exterior and it has a new windshield complete with the sticker stating "to be removed by owner" so it appears to be OEM. the front end has been rebuilt. battery moved to trunk. Older paint job that is in good shape. It's Porsche guards red.
Console needs attention and none of the gauges work. i had a cheap set of gauges installed for temp, oil pressure etc on the side of the console. easily removed for restoring to stock. There is a tach installed that is not factory and there is an after market pioneer head unit. Dash is a replacement hence no cracks it is pristine. New tires and the rims are in great shape
Engine compartment and trunk are very clean and in good shape.“
