1968 Datsun 1600 roadster with L18 engine in great running condition with mikuni solex racing carbs. Due to the engine swap by previous owner, exact mileage is unknown. This came originally from Oregon where it lived most of its life. I bought this last year to run local VSCCA hillclimb race. Car runs great. It ran a few times at local SCCA events. Put in new racing seats with harness, Mikuni 40mm racing carbs with Lynx manifold. There is also Techno Toy carb heatshield. It’s meant for 510 but I bent the piece to fit into this car. I have a few other cars I run and this one has to go to make some room at the house. I do have new headrests for the seats. They are off as I like the look. Also, I have 2000 badges on for now. But it’s a 1600. I have the 1600 badges.

Engine was swapped by previous owner and has good compression and power. You are more than welcome to take this car to any mechanic of your choice or pay someone to come and inspect this car. Drivetrain is in excellent condition. Exact mileage is unknown as the odometer was not linked to the new installation. Mikuni carbs were rebuilt early this year. Runs perfect. Will come with manual and air calibration tool.

Brakes and calipers were also converted to Volvo calipers that are commonly done to this platform.

Full LED light turn and brake conversion with relays except the headlights.

There is small amount of rust at the rear wheel area/rocker which has been removed with needler tool. This car could use a good strip and paint job. As it sits, it’s a great weekend racer. I have the cut off switch under the passenger dash for now. It can easily be relocated to exterior panel for VSCCA rules.

I’m leaving out some details probably. Car is currently not registered. It is in perfect driving condition but legally, you should tow or trailer the car which is what I’ve been doing. Car absolutely can be registered and driven on the road. It drives GREAT. I can assist with shipping the car if needed.

It’s not pictured well but there is the hardtop for this car leaning up against the right garage wall on the rear shop of the car. It’s in decent shape with glass intact. I have a soft top for it too but it needs to be redone. Also, please keep in mind that you will need some tweaking of the carbs depending on where you are.
