1971 Datsun 240Z Series II with Parts
Description
1971 Datsun Z-Series 240Z Coupe with 5-speed manual transmission, starts great, idles smoothly and drives really well. Used as a nearly daily driver for a year with no issues, still at only 100,408 miles.
Car is fitted with a Nissan L28 engine out of a 280Z fitted with the original twin SU carburetors and an electric ignition. 5-speed transmission and engine were added by previous owner but I have had some work done to them since, they work fantastic. Delivers power really well especially around 3000rpm.
Original L24 engine, 4-speed transmission, and a couple of boxes of miscellaneous parts included with purchase.
Interior is excellent, only issues are some dash cracks. Minor additions have been made such as new radio w/ bluetooth and a cigarette lighter/phone charger port in center console. ALL gauges functioning normally other than original clock.
The Z is on it's 3rd owner since manufacture and spent some time in a dry storage unit under previous owner. Car is a California car and has very minimal rust on certain body panels only - floorpans are rust-free.
RECENT WORK (Done by an actual garage): Patched up exhaust manifold, previous owner had a couple of small holes. Replaced all window and door seals, no leaks since. Tuned carburetors for smooth idle at 750 RPM and adjusted linkages, no more lag when pressing gas pedal. Installed new radio w/ bluetooth (original radio included). Replaced brake power booster and brake pads.
