Description

I just picked this car up from the original owner who has had it stored in a closed garage for the last 27 years. Here is the background on the car as told by him. The car was originally white with a blue interior. He had the car painted blue around 78 and then rose in about 88. The hood was replaced some time after that and is still in brown primer. He changed the seats to black around 1990 and had the engine completely overhauled and purchased a new dash from the dealer. The car was driven about 4k miles in the next few years and then parked in 1993. He started to install the new dash but as you can see in the pictures there are still a few things out of the center. The carpet is removed and most of the interior is still blue except for the seats.

Since I got the car I have installed a new water pump, belts, hoses, spark plugs, ignition wires, battery cables, clutch master cylinder and battery. I cleaned the fuel system and tank and installed new fuel hoses as well. The car runs great right now but could use someone who knows SU carbs a little better then I do to dial in the idle a bit better.

This car has no rust that I could find on the body or floors anywhere. I took a picture of the battery tray so you can see the only surface rust (not through rust) I could find. The rear bumper also has surface rust and will need to be re-chromed.

I have the original steel wheels included in the sale and 2 of the original hub caps. This is a very low serial number first year car and a great candidate for a complete restoration or a JDM custom project. The car holds a clean clear California title but hasn't been registered since 1993.

I am not a dealer. I sell a few classics a year as a hobby and I value my 100% feedback rating. I encourage an inspection in person because I want the buyer to be happy. I do my best to represent cars and will answer questions if you ask. I have sold many cars all over the world and I will work with your shipper for a smooth pick up.

Edit: Forgot to add that there is a softball size dent in the right rear corner (Valance) under the bumper. It happened pushing the car out of storage.
