Description
Classic '77 Datsun 280Z 4-speed in excellent mechanical condition. 170K miles with engine rebuilt at 153K. Nice exhaust growl. Beautiful interior--Literally driven daily- currently tagged, insured & registered. I purchased the car out of the Seattle Washington area in 2014 from the second owner. The car was always garaged and well maintained.
The original owner also had the car resprayed its original 305 light blue metallic color. The paint is in great shape and shines nicely, the body still has its original body side moldings and chrome wheel opening moldings. There are a couple of places that need attention, specifically the lower fenders behind the wheel well, a tiny bubble below the gas filler, and a quarter-sized spot on the hood where the mechanic shut the hood on a socket and broke the paint. There is light surface rust in the bottom of the battery tray area as pictured. I've tried to every defect in the photographs. The under body is completely rust free. The interior is in very nice shape and the dash is absolutely perfect. The ignition cylinder functions fine, but needs to be re-pinned.
The car has a clean Florida state title and has never been in an accident that I could find any signs of.
She's drop-dead reliable and has been our daily driver for the last 2 years. The transmission shifts slick and smooth and never grinds or slips out of gear. She doesn't drip a drop of any fluid on the ground. No electrical issues-- all lights function as they should.
