Description

I have always planned on keeping this car but things change. The car has a service history dated back to the 80s. The second owner kept every part that was replaced on the car and i continued to do the same. This includes crazy things like the original wiper blades that say made in Ireland, goodyear nct's, head lights, fuel accumulator, window switches....ect. I started to get to many boxes, so a few things got thrown out but nothing interesting. The receipt book has EVERYTHING minus oil changes that ido every 5 thousand miles with 10w30 mobil one.
Gosh this is a great car!
I had a small AC leak that needed attended to so one thing led to another and i replaced most of the system. It got new fans, accumulator, condenser and low pressure hose to update it to the later style.
I could go on and on but you can tell from the pics she is dirty and that is because i would consider her a daily driver. She cleans up nice and has obtained several trophies. Depending on the health of my other car the DMC gets driven every other week for the full week. I bought the car to drive and that is what i have done. If something needed replaced it has been replaced. You can fly out to Oklahoma and drive it home if you need to, no matter where that is. I have taken this car out of state to car shows and my drive to work is 45 min one way. There can not be to many Delorean sellers saying they trust their car to go anywhere, this is my reliable car. This car has never left me stranded even after i first bought it in 2006.
Like i said, this is a great car.
You can see in the photos that the passenger seat is cracking from the sun and i also need to tell you that the windshield washer does not work. I have never really needed the washer so that is why i didnt make the time to fix it.
The cool stuff...It has a HD radio with pioneer speakers. I purchased that center DIN style console from DMC Houston. (original radio included) I buy everything from DMC Houston. It has nice window tent with a DMC logo. It runs awesome! Better than new. It got a new clutch, lines and rear main seal a few years back. I also changed all the exhaust gaskets out. KEYLESS ENTRY from DMC Houston
It might be easier for me to name off the things that have not been changed vs the things that have.
Anyways, come check her out. I am very fond of her and she is very happy girl.
I have a paddle wheel that i used to refinish the panels that goes with the car. A couple car models and three service manuals including service bulletins part numbers and maintenance procedures.
I met Christopher Lloyd at the Dallas comic con to get the owners manual signed. The sun star model is missing the side mirrors.
The rear louvers have a extra piece of metal added to stiffen it. It was something added by the previous owner and i think it was something a delorean parts vendor sold.
As i mentioned before the clutch line has been replaced with a stainless braided line but i forgot to say that the coolant bottle has been replaced with a metal one which is always a important upgrade.
I will add more as i get more time
