Very Nice 1941 DeSoto DeLuxe 2 door sedan

Original Drivetrain, engine number S8-21444, Fluid Drive, mileage is UNKNOWN, there was no speedometer/odometer when I bought the car, I sourced one through Hemmings. I've owned the car about 6 years.

I believe this car may be the one featured in the WPC News shown in the picture, just a hunch. Refinished in original Garland Green and the interior was redone in period correct materials. Chrome and Stainless are excellent. Woodgraining is very nice too. It is obvious when you inspect the car closely, it was taken apart before being painted. There is absolutely NO overspray on the wearhter striping, fender welts, window fuzzies, trim etc.

In the last few pictures, the rear floor footwell on the drivers side was patched and they never did anything to the inner rockers.

Also the aluminum sill plates have some corrosion, see picture.

Still 6 volt, gauges, heater, wipers all work fine, the horn will work when grounded, I'm going to put a switch inside to make it work. (It currently will blow when hooked up, grounding through the horn ring now, the ring stays "depressed", a spring?) Two 6 volt optima batteries in parallel, plenty of AMPS.

Note the console: 12 volt stereo, tachometer, power outlets and map light are powered by a 12 volt battery in the trunk, which is charged by a 6 to 12 volt inverter under the hood. The speakers were already mounted in the kick panels and rear package shelf. Big Band Music sounds so nice! The whole auxiliary console and electrical can be removed if you don't want it.

Coker radial white walls, also new brakes and shocks when I first bought it about 1,000 miles ago. Always starts and drives just like before Pearl Harbor and when Hitler was taking France. A true survivor.

May consider a trade for a 1947 or earlier Dodge or Plymouth pickup in similar condition.
