Description

You're looking at a very rare 1961 Desoto Hardtop. There were only 2123 4-door hardtops produced in 1961. The day this particular car rolled off the assembly line, Chrysler announced they would be no longer be manufacturing Desotos.
The car is mostly in original condition. It was painted around 91 in its original colors of Mediterranean Blue with a white top. The upholstery is original. The dash pad has been redone due to age and cracks, and the windlace is new. Headliner is original. The motor is original and in excellent condition - the car cruises down the freeway effortlessly. It doesn't smoke, leak or overheat. The mileage is original - the car has hardly been driven since the 90s, but was always maintained regularly.
Everything works except the clock, but it is accurate twice a day. Radio still sounds great. The power seat works. This stunning Desoto features the famous 1-finger power steering that made the car so popular with the ladies back in the day. Gauges, dash lights and turn signals all function as they should.
As mentioned, the car was painted professionally by the previous owner in 91. Sincethe car has always been garaged, the paint has held up remarkably well over the years. It's an interesting color. Changes tone depending on the light. Sometimes it looks almost green, other times it looks blue. There's no rust, and the body is excellent. Minor age rash on some of the chrome, as it is all original as well, but still shines. It has the bullet-proof 361 motor with the original 2-bbl, and I've squeezed 22 mpg out it.
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call at 702-292-1201 (Dave). Car is in Las Vegas, and I can help out with the shipping arrangements, locally or overseas. Of course, all costs associated with shipping is the buyer's responsibility, and the car must be paid in full before I will release it. The car is currently registered and insured in my name. If you need any more pictures, don't hesitate to ask. Crawling underneath may be a chore at my age, but I will do my best. I can honestly tell you that the floors and frame are perfect. This car never had any rust.
Note --- I do not need help selling my car, or recommendations from transporters so, please do not contact me.
